How the Palace Hotel is being refurbished
Archer Hotel Capitalthe owner of the hotel, has commissioned the comprehensive refurbishment in two phases of the legendary Hotel Palace, which is located in Madrid's Plaza de Neptuno.
The reform project is carried out by Arcadis as Project Manager. The Architecture Studio is Ruiz-Larrea and the interior design is taken care of by Lazaro Studio.

In the first phase, the rooms and common areas will be renovated, while the façade will be refurbished. The project also includes refurbishing the structure, reinforcing it and cleaning the glass of the famous dome of the Restaurant La Rotonda.

The property is listed as Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) by the Plan General de Ordenamiento Urbano, which means that it has the same degree of protection as other monuments such as the Royal Palace or the Church of La Almudena in Madrid.

This five-star complex consists of 470 rooms and was built in 1912 and was to be the command centre where the failed coup d'état of 23 F was dismantled.
