Ámbito Vera

What is the Ámbito Vera Project?

The Ámbito Vera project is being developed on the former Altadis site in the Los Remedios neighbourhood of Seville. It has a budget of €25 million and is being carried out by KKH Property Investors.

This intervention will radically transform the neighbourhood’s relationship with the rest of the city. A new luxury hotel, three office buildings, the central building (El Cubo), a civic square, a pedestrian walkway between the neighbourhood and the historic centre, and new green areas make up the project for the renovation of this space.

The space in which KKH will be involved includes several facilities with different completion dates. First, a luxury hotel designed by Carlos Ferrater, which will have eight floors and 210 rooms.

The second space is El Cubo, designed by Kengo Kuma. The renowned Japanese architect is the designer of the Olympic Stadium for the Tokyo Games, the Shanghai Cultural Centre and the museum and birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen in Denmark. This facility covers 14,000 square metres.

The site of the former Los Remedios factory will also house office buildings. In this case, the two buildings known as Rama 1 and Rama 2 will be refurbished and a third office building will be constructed. Each of them will have an area of around 2,000 square metres and will be designed by the Ruiz-Larrea Arquitectura studio.

The Plaza Cívica, also known as Plaza de Las Cigarreras, will also be designed by Kengo Kuma, and the project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.

For its part, the Footbridge was designed by Spanish engineering firm Phecor, led by José Romo, in collaboration with Kengo Kuma. The project is financed by KKH with an investment of €5 million and will be carried out by Seville City Council.
