Quirónsalud Hospital in Zaragoza
Located in the outlying neighbourhood of Casablanca, the new Quirónsalud Zaragoza Hospital, designed by Enero Arquitectura, redefines healthcare architecture with its innovative design, using a cutting-edge concept that emphasises the use of state-of-the-art technology, energy efficiency and patient well-being, guaranteeing personalised care of the highest quality.

The engineering firms CALTER and Ingeniería Torne SL, as well as the construction company Constructora San José, were also involved. Health and safety coordination during the project and execution was carried out by Q-safety by Quirónprevención.
With a surface area of more than 30,700 m², the centre has 250 beds, 47 outpatient clinics and 14 operating theatres, including areas specialising in diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine. The 250 beds are distributed as follows: 149 in the inpatient ward, 26 in the emergency department, 23 in the ICU (11 of which are paediatric), 26 in the Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU), 16 in the day hospital, 8 in the Comprehensive Endoscopy Unit and 5 in the Labour and Recovery Unit (LRU).

Every detail has been designed to optimise the experience for patients and professionals.
This hospital not only redefines healthcare with cutting-edge technology, but also humanises the hospital environment:
- Green areas that reduce noise pollution and promote recovery.
- Natural light in all areas, creating a more welcoming and healthy environment.
- Sound-absorbing materials, minimising noise in waiting areas.
- Separate entrances for hospitalisation, consultations and emergencies, ensuring better circulation.
It also has the first private paediatric and neonatal ICU in Aragon, a state-of-the-art hybrid operating theatre and an obstetrics area with bathtubs for water births, promoting a more natural and respectful experience for mothers.
