What is the MAD1 Data Centre
CyrusOne completes civil works on its new centre in Madrid, the MAD1 Data Centre, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024.
CyrusOne acquired more than two hectares in Alcobendas in 2021. The data centre consists of a two-storey building with a total load of 18MW, covering more than 6,000 square metres of IT space. The facility will obtain a “Very Good” certification from BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology), which assesses the sustainability of facilities and buildings around the world, as it will use 100% renewable energy and generate around 100KW through photovoltaic solar panels.
