What is the Construction Safety and Health Coordinator?
The Construction Safety and Health Coordinator (both during the project phase and the execution phase) is the competent technician designated by the Developer to coordinate the application of the principles mentioned in Article 8 of Royal Decree 1627/1997 of October 24, which establishes minimum Safety and Health provisions in construction works.

When is a Safety and Health Coordinator mandatory?
If more than one company, or a company and self-employed workers, or several self-employed workers are involved in the execution of the work, the Promoting Company is obliged to appoint a safety and health coordinator during the execution of the work, before the start of the work or as soon as this circumstance is verified (whether or not there is a work project).
