The Diagonal Vertical Building<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hines European Core Found (HECF)<\/strong>has completed renovation work on the Diagonal Vertical office building in Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inaugurated in 1969, it has been the headquarters of Banco Sabadell for 55 years. Now the intention is that it will house several firms looking for a prime location in the financial district of Barcelona, in the Eixample district of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This historic 24-storey building is 83 metres high and was designed by the architects Santiago Balcells <\/strong>y Francesc Mitjans<\/strong>inspired by the Pirelli Tower in Milan. It was the tallest building in the city for a year, until the completion of the Torre Col\u00f3n in 1970.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The refurbishment project was promoted by Hines and carried out by the architectural firm Batlle i Roig<\/strong> and the interior design studio Buckley Gray Yeoman<\/strong>. In this comprehensive refurbishment, special emphasis has been placed on sustainability, improving energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, it has adapted to the new trends in workspaces with state-of-the-art services such as its own app for users, a lobby with reception, meeting rooms, a gym exclusively for tenants, lockers, bicycle parking, phone booths and two green terraces with panoramic views of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these refurbishment works, Q-safety by Quir\u00f3nprevenci\u00f3n<\/strong> has been involved in the services of Health and Safety Coordinator<\/a> y Safety Manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
